Mark Says…

Did you know that 1 out of every 3 children in the UK routinely travels in an unsuitable or incorrectly fitted car seat? This is despite the regulations on child car seats being clear in their safety specifications. This infographic outlines the dangers of poorly-installed child car seats, as well as important advice for purchasing such equipment.

Children are one of the most vulnerable people in our society, and no parent or guardian would knowingly put a child’s life in danger. However, an astonishing number of parents allow their children to travel in vehicles without being properly restrained, placing their lives and safety at risk. Research from the Road Safety Authority shows that as many as 4 in 5 child car seats are incorrectly fitted so it is really important to educate yourself and become aware of what you need to check to make sure your child is safe while travelling.
